No shocking result in a game when third ranked Familia Schio (11-2) smashed on the road 11th ranked Orvieto (3-10) 82-62 on Sunday. The game without a history. Familia Schio led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. International Martina Bestagno (189-90, agency: Two Points) stepped up and scored 22 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and American Jolene Anderson (175-86, college: Wisconsin) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side Canadian forward Taryn Wicijowski (190-91, college: Utah, agency: LBM Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Blake Dietrick (178-93, college: Princeton, agency: LBM Management) scored 16 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Familia Schio. Defending champion maintains third place with 11-2 record having just four point less than leader Ragusa. Loser Orvieto dropped to the twelfth position with ten games lost. They share it with San Giovanni and Vigarano. Familia Schio will meet at home Battipaglia (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Orvieto will play against San Giovanni (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
