No shocking result in a game in Yingkou where fifth ranked Liaoning Hunters (19-7) won against 10th ranked Shanghai Sharks (12-14) 94-77. It looked good early as Shanghai Sharks took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Liaoning Hunters had a 21-16 second period charge getting the lead and Shanghai Sharks were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 77-94. American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Priority Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 29 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. The other American import forward Shavlik Randolph (208-83, college: Duke) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Bernard James (208-85, college: Florida St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds and the former international center ZhaoXu Zhang (221-87, college: California) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Shanghai Sharks. Four Shanghai Sharks players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Liaoning Hunters have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Shanghai Sharks at the other side keep the tenth position with 14 games lost. Liaoning Hunters' next round opponent will be Fujian (#11) in Jinjiang and are hoping to win another game. Shanghai Sharks will play at home against DongGuan Leopards and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
