The most exciting game of round 12 in the A1 took place in Athens. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 3rd ranked AEK Athens (9-3) to top-ranked Panathinaikos (12-0) 67-64 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of AEK Athens. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Cooper (183-90, college: Ohio) scored 5 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Panathinaikos have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-0 record. AEK Athens at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Aris.
