Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Porto S.Elpidio (6-9) lost at home to second ranked San Severo (13-2) 88-70 on Sunday. San Severo forced 19 Porto S.Elpidio turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for power forward Andrea Quarisa (202-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds. Naturalized Argentinian point guard Matias Di Marco (182-84) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds, 10 assists and 6 steals for the winners. Forward Lorenzo Tortu (200-92) answered with 15 points and 7 rebounds and Luca Rossi (190-81) added 15 points and 6 assists in the effort for Porto S.Elpidio. Five San Severo and four Porto S.Elpidio players scored in double figures. Newly promoted San Severo maintains second place in B with 13-2 record behind leader Forli. Loser Porto S.Elpidio dropped to the tenth position with nine games lost. San Severo will face Pescara (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Porto S.Elpidio will play against Giulianova and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
