Regular Season Round 15: Udine APU - Battaglia 84-61

Very predictable result when second ranked Udine APU (14-1) rolled over at home 15th ranked Battaglia (2-12) 84-61 on Sunday. Udine APU had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for forward Riccardo Castelli (200-88) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Swingman Michele Ferrari (196-86) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) for the winners. Four Udine APU players scored in double figures. Udine APU's coach Lino Lardo felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Luigi Brunetti (205-88) answered with 13 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Fabio Grugnetti (171-87) added 16 points in the effort for Battaglia. Udine APU have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They keep a position of B leader, which they share with Orzinuovi GaGa. Loser Battaglia keeps the fifteenth place with 12 games lost. Udine APU will face Lecco (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
