Regular Season Round 1: Homenetmen - Champville 114-102

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Champville (0-1) in Beirut. Visitors were defeated by Homenetmen (1-0) 114-102. The game was mostly controlled by Homenetmen. Champville was better in fourth quarter 31-30. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Ahmad Ibrahim (198-92, college: Rice) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Justin Tubbs (190-87, college: E.Tenn.St.) contributed with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Georgian power forward Nikoloz Tskitishvili (212-83, agency: Interperformances) answered with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and American center Terrence Leather (204-81, college: S.Florida) added 21 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Champville. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Homenetmen will play against Byblos at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Champville will play against Al Moutahed (#9) in Tripoli to get more than just one victory in their record.
