D1 top team - Al Sadd (9-1) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Qatar Sports Club (1-9) in Doha 96-72. The game without a history. Al Sadd led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Qatar Sports Club's players. It was a quality performance for international swingman Khalid Abdi (198-87) who led the winners and scored 21 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. International swingman Saad Abdulrahman Ali (193-85) accounted for 24 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side. Al Sadd's coach Zoran Kreckovic felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Malcolm White (205-88, college: LSU) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 19 rebounds and the other American import guard Dontell Jefferson (196-83, college: Arkansas) added 18 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for Qatar Sports Club in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Al Sadd. They maintain first place with 9-1 record, which they share with Al Rayyan and Al Gharafa. Qatar Sports Club lost their sixth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. They share it with Al Ahli. Al Sadd's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Doha Al Ahli.
