Regular Season Round 13: Scrivia - Crema 43-68

Very expected game when 13th ranked Scrivia (3-10) was smashed at home by third ranked Team Crema (10-3) 68-43 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Team Crema led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Scrivia to just 4 points in fourth quarter and to 13 points in second half. Team Crema dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Scrivia's 22. They outrebounded Scrivia 42-26 including a 35-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Quite impressive performance for Latvian forward Ieva Veinberga (185-84) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds. Power forward Gilda Cerri (185-90) contributed with 8 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized Argentinian swingman Florencia Palacios (183-85, agency: SPORTlab Agency) answered with 14 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Giulia Porro (169-95, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 11 points in the effort for Scrivia. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Team Crema moved-up to second place in A2. Newly promoted Scrivia keeps the thirteenth position with ten games lost. Team Crema will face Carugate (#11) in Corugate in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Scrivia will play on the road against Albino and hope to win that game.
