Very predictable result when eighth ranked Scauri (9-7) smashed on the road 16th ranked Venafro (1-15) 77-53 on Wednesday. Scauri dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Venafro's 12. They outrebounded Venafro 44-24 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Simone Bagnoli (205-81) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and power forward Leonardo Salvadori (198-93) who added 16 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Scauri players scored in double figures. At the losing side swingman Massimilano Fossati (195-93) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and forward Andrea Chiari (195-79) scored 3 points and 8 rebounds. Scauri moved-up to sixth place in B, which they share with Vicenza and Lecco. Loser Venafro keeps the sixteenth position with 15 games lost. Scauri will face Empoli (#9) at home in the next round. Venafro will play against Catanzaro (#8) and hope to win that game.
