There was an upset when higher ranked Monteroni (6-10) was defeated on the road by sixteenth ranked Vasto (4-12) 76-64 on Wednesday. Vasto forced 19 Monteroni turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of center Andrea Casettari (200-85) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and naturalized Serbian forward Marko Jovancic (195-93) who added 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Alessandro Poti responded with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and center Manuele Mocavero (203-80) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Vasto moved-up to thirteenth place in B, which they share with Sangiorgese and Padova. Loser Monteroni dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. Vasto will face higher ranked Senigallia (#6) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
