A very close game took place in Cordoba between Instituto C. and Quimsa. Ninth ranked Instituto C. (11-14) got a very close home victory over higher ranked Quimsa (14-12). Instituto C. managed to escape with a 1-point win 59-58 on Wednesday evening. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 18-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Instituto C. dominated on the defensive end, holding Quimsa to just 7 points in second quarter. The winners were led by American swingman J.R. Italian center Damian Tintorelli (204-81) added 11 points and 11 rebounds for the guests. Instituto C. have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place. Defending champion Quimsa keeps the fourth position with 12 games lost. Instituto C. will meet at home Sionista (#9) in the next round. Quimsa will have a break next round.
