Regular Season Round 16: Forli - Torino 108-64

Date: January 6, 2016
Very expected game when 15th ranked Torino (1-15) was crushed on the road by first ranked Forli (15-1) 108-64 on Wednesday. Forli dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Torino's 22. Forli forced 20 Torino turnovers and outrebounded them 38-22 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Torino's players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Marco Arrigoni (199-91, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Riccardo Pederzini (198-89) who added 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Forli players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Manuel Di Matteo (190-96) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Claudio Maino (182-91) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Forli maintains first position in B with 15-1 record, which they share with Udine APU and Orzinuovi GaGa. Loser Torino keeps the fifteenth place with 15 games lost. Forli will face league's second-placed Cecina on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Torino will play against Faenza (#10) and hope to win that game.
