There was an upset when higher ranked Piombino (10-6) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Rimini (6-10) 81-75 on Wednesday. Rimini made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Spanish guard Daniel Perez (189-97) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 assists and Riccardo Romano (193-84) who added 19 points and 6 rebounds during the contest.
