Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Pescara (8-8) was defeated on the road by second ranked San Severo (14-2) 76-64 on Wednesday. San Severo outrebounded Pescara 42-29 including a 39-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Luca Marmugi (202-84) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian point guard Matias Di Marco (182-84) who added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 13 assists during the contest. Four San Severo players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Simone Pepe (185-93, agency: SPORTlab Agency) responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds and guard Stefano Rajola (187-72) scored 15 points. Newly promoted San Severo maintains second position in B with 14-2 record behind leader Forli. Loser Pescara keeps the seventh place with eight games lost. San Severo will face Taranto (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Pescara will play against Valmontone (#15) and hope to win that game.
