Regular Season Round 13: Albino - Carugate 51-60

There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Carugate (4-9) won against on the road 4th placed Albino (7-6) 60-51 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 60-51. Carugate forced 21 Albino turnovers. Quite impressive performance for guard Michela Frantini (175-83) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 6 steals. The former international forward Manuela Zanon (187-80) contributed with 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. The former international center Elisa Silva (192-88, agency: LBM Management) answered with 12 points and 6 rebounds and guard Laura Fumagalli (178-85) added 8 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Albino. Albino's coach Michele Pasqua tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Carugate moved-up to eleventh place in A2. Loser Albino dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. Carugate will face league's second-placed Team Crema on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
