Serie A2 top team - Broni (14-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Bolzano (4-9) 83-48. The game without a history. Broni led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Bolzano's 28. Broni forced 24 Bolzano turnovers and outrebounded them 34-20 including 24 on the defensive glass. Estonian power forward Maaja Bratka (190-92, agency: LBM Management) fired 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Virginia Galbiati (173-92, agency: SPORTlab Agency) chipped in 14 points. Guard Elena Zambarda (180-87) produced 13 points and point guard Viviana Giordano (167-89) added 9 points and 6 steals respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Broni maintains first place in A2 with 14-0 record. Newly promoted Bolzano dropped to the twelfth position with nine games lost. Broni's next round opponent will be Marghera (#5) in Venezia. Bolzano will play on the road against Vicenza (#4) and hope to win that game.
