Regular Season Round 6: Guaros - Toros 78-74

Date: January 7, 2016
Bottom-ranked Toros is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their fourth consecutive match to third ranked Guaros (5-1) 78-74. The hosts were ahead by 7 points but lost the second period ending it with a 6-point deficit before their 23-13 run, which allowed them to win the game. Toros were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. International center Windi Graterol (204-86, agency: Pro Sports) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international point guard Heissler Guillent (186-86) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Guaros players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American swingman Ollie Bailey (201-85, college: Oklahoma City) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and the former international swingman Rafael Perez (193-82, agency: Paris Global Sports) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Toros' coach Nacho Lezkano rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Guaros have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Cocodrilos. Toros at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Guaros will play against Trotamundos (#9) in Valencia in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Toros will have a break next round.
