Regular Season Round 15: Conquero - CREF Hola 81-64

Very predictable result in Huelva where third ranked Conquero (11-4) defeated 9th ranked CREF Hola (6-9) 81-64 on Friday. Conquero dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to CREF Hola's 36. Conquero forced 22 CREF Hola turnovers. It was a great evening for American center Talia Caldwell (188-91, college: California) who led her team to a victory scoring 17 points and 8 rebounds. Nigerian-American forward Adaora Elonu (185-90, college: Texas A&M, agency: Josep and Nicolas) helped adding 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Conquero players scored in double figures. Conquero's coach Gabriel Carrasco used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Lyndra Weaver (185-87, college: Virginia) with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds and Serbian guard Nina Bogicevic (181-89) scored 21 points. Conquero moved-up to second place. Newly promoted CREF Hola keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. Conquero will face Cadi La Seu (#6) in Seu D'urgell in the next round. CREF Hola will play at home against Gernika and hope to win that game.
