Regular Season Round 28: Jiangsu TX - Shandong FB 82-98

Very expected game when 12th ranked Jiangsu TX (11-17) lost at home to sixth ranked Shandong Bulls (20-8) 98-82. The game was mostly controlled by Shandong Bulls. Jiangsu TX was better in second period 26-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shandong Bulls dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Jiangsu TX's 44. They outrebounded Jiangsu TX 58-43 including a 23-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Michael Beasley (208-89, college: Kansas St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 23 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international forward JingYu Li (198-91) who added 13 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Jamaican center Jerome Jordan (215-86, college: Tulsa, agency: Priority Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and Palestinian center Sani Sakakini (204-88) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. Four Shandong Bulls and five Jiangsu TX players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Shandong Bulls moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Guangdong ST. Jiangsu TX at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 17 games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Shandong Bulls will play against Fujian (#12) in Jinjiang in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Jiangsu TX will play at home against Zhejiang Guangsha Lions and hopes to get back on the winning track.
