Regular Season Round 28: Zhejiang CB - Jilin NE T. 114-93

Not a big story in a game when 18th ranked Jilin Tigers (7-21) were outscored by eighth ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (17-11) in Hangzhou 114-93. The game without a history. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Jilin Tigers' 50. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Jilin Tigers' players. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Willie Warren (193-89, college: Oklahoma) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 9 rebounds and 13 assists and the other American import forward Charles Gaines (201-81, college: S.Mississippi) who added 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank players scored in double figures. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank's coach Ding Wei felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Nigerian-American point guard Josh-Emmanuel Akognon (180-86, college: CS Fullerton) responded with 34 points (!!!) and forward Lilong Cai (201-91) scored 23 points and 7 rebounds. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain eighth position with 17-11 record. Jilin Tigers lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventeenth place with 21 games lost. They share the position with Bayi R.. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will play against higher ranked Beijing Ducks (#7) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Jilin Tigers will play against Shanxi Zhongyu (#11) and hope to get back on the winning track.
