Regular Season Round 17: GTK Gliwice - Notec Inowr. 74-77

Important game to mention about took place in Gliwice. Eleventh ranked Notec Inowr. (6-11) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 16th ranked GTK Gliwice (3-14) 77-74 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. GTK Gliwice was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was power forward Lukasz Ratajczak (201-86, agency: Promotex) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Aleksander Filipiak (185-90) chipped in 11 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Power forward Wojciech Fras (203-91) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and center Lukasz Paul (205-89, agency: Promotex) added 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Five GTK Gliwice players scored in double figures. GTK Gliwice's coach Pawel Turkiewicz let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Newly promoted Notec Inowr. maintains eleventh place with 6-11 record, which they share with SKK Siedlce. GTK Gliwice lost their ninth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Notec Inowr. will face higher ranked Rosa II Radom (#8) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. GTK Gliwice will play against SKK Siedlce (#12) and hope to win that game.
