Regular Season Round 13: Aros Leon - Badajoz 53-61

We should mention about the upset which took place in Leon, where 4th placed Aros Leon (9-4) lost at home to tenth ranked Badajoz BF (4-9) 53-61 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Aros Leon. The game without a history. Badajoz BF led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Strangely Aros Leon outrebounded Badajoz BF 44-30 including 16 on the offensive glass. American swingman Sashana Bucknor (185, college: E.Michigan) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Brazilian-Portuguese forward Larisse Lima (185-88) chipped in 11 points. American power forward Aulani Sinclair (186-90, college: Indiana) produced 15 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Victoria Dunlap (185-89, college: Kentucky) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Aros Leon's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Badajoz BF maintains tenth place in Group A with 4-9 record. Loser Aros Leon dropped to the third position with four games lost. Badajoz BF will face Aragon (#11) in Zaragoza in the next round. Aros Leon will play at home against Real Celta Vigo (#12) and hope to win that game.
