Regular Season Round 13: Castellbisbal - Miramar 74-90

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Castellbisbal's (5-8) home loss to fifth ranked Miramar (7-6) 74-90 on Saturday. Miramar had a 28-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Javier Medori (200-93) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Center Carlos Poyatos (207-94) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. Four Miramar players scored in double figures. Forward Marc Manes (196-86) produced 28 points and 6 rebounds and guard Roger Guardia (193-85, college: CS Fullerton) added 14 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Miramar. They moved-up to third place in Group C-B, which they share with Igualada. Castellbisbal at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Miramar will face league's second-placed AEC Collblanc in L´Hospitalet in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Castellbisbal will play at home against Pardinyes-L. (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
