Regular Season Round 13: Azuqueca - Torrelodones 79-64

Rather expected game when 7th ranked Torrelodones (5-5) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Azuqueca (7-3) 79-64 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Azuqueca especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. Point guard Carlos Calvo (178-94, agency: Duran International) fired 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American forward Faronte Drakeford (201, college: Cent.Conn.St.) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Forward Javier Salson (199-82, college: Bloomfield, agency: Duran International) produced 24 points and 8 rebounds and Jordan Djounorou added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Torrelodones' coach gave the chance to play for ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Azuqueca moved-up to third place in Group B, which they share with Tenerife Naut. and Alcazar. Newly promoted Torrelodones keeps the seventh position with five games lost. Azuqueca will face Real Canoe (#6) in Madrid in the next round. Torrelodones will play at home against Gran Canaria and hope to win that game.
