Regular Season Round 13: AEC Collblanc - Martorell 65-55

Everything went according to plan in L´Hospitalet where second ranked AEC Collblanc (8-5) won against 6th ranked Martorell (5-8) 65-55 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by AEC Collblanc. Martorell was better in second period 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Martorell to just 6 points in first quarter. AEC Collblanc forced 21 Martorell turnovers. Forward Lluis Jacas (198-90) fired 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Antoni Figuerola (-94) chipped in 13 points. Power forward Nil Sabata (205-96) produced 7 points and 6 rebounds and Pol Vives added 13 points respectively for lost side. Martorell's coach Xavier Garcia gave the chance to play for eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for AEC Collblanc. They maintain second place in Group C-B with 8-5 record having five points less than leader L'Hospitalet. Martorell lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost. AEC Collblanc will face Miramar (#4) in the next round. Martorell will play against the league's leader L'Hospitalet and hope to win that game.
