There was a surprise result in Vilagarcia Arousa where thirteenth ranked Real Celta Vigo (3-10) beat higher ranked Cortegada (5-8) 81-76 on Saturday. Power forward Laura Alonso (179-93) fired 16 points for the winners. Point guard Cristina Salinas (162-93) chipped in 10 points and 5 assists. Real Celta Vigo's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Senegalese center Amy Syll (196-93) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds and Croatian forward Amra Dapo (184-76, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Real Celta Vigo moved-up to eleventh place in Group A, which they share with Aragon. Loser Cortegada keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. Real Celta Vigo will face higher ranked Aros Leon (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
