Regular Season Round 13: Plenilunio - Andratx 79-50

No shocking result in a game in Madrid where sixth ranked Plenilunio (8-5) smashed 13th ranked Andratx (3-10) 79-50 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Plenilunio. Andratx was better in fourth quarter 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Andratx to just 6 points in third quarter. Plenilunio dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Andratx's 30. Plenilunio forced 19 Andratx turnovers and outrebounded them 44-31 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Swingman Maria Bolonio (180-85) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Irene Ona (-94) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists. Plenilunio's coach felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Brigida Gual (-97) produced 13 points and 9 rebounds and guard Esther Morillo (169-79) added 16 points respectively for lost side. The victory was the third consecutive win for Plenilunio. They moved-up to fifth place in Group B, which they share with UCAM Jairis. Andratx lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with ten games lost. Plenilunio will face Barcelona (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Andratx will play against Leganes and hope to win that game.
