The game in Komarno was also quite interesting. 4th placed Esprit Kosice (15-8) played at the court of fifth ranked Rieker KN (15-7). Rieker KN managed to secure a 7-point victory 78-71 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Esprit Kosice. The former international Roman Vido (204-88) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American guard Bernard Thompson (190-93, college: FGCU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Four Rieker KN players scored in double figures. Serbian guard Aleksandar Vlahovic (190-90, agency: 011 Sports) produced 29 points and Croatian forward Sasa Jankovic (204-84) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Esprit Kosice's coach Stefan Svitek rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place. Newly promoted Esprit Kosice dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. Rieker KN will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Esprit Kosice will play against Karlovka (#7) in Bratislava and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
