No shocking result in a game in Zaragoza where twelfth ranked Aragon (3-10) smashed 14th ranked ADBA (1-12) 71-46 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Aragon. ADBA was better in second period 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding ADBA to just 7 points in first quarter. Aragon forced 35 ADBA turnovers and had a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Paula Cabrera (176-92) fired 10 points and 4 assists for the winners. Patricia Alonso (-81) chipped in 12 points and 5 steals. Aragon's coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Bashala Emilie produced 7 points and 9 rebounds and Croatian forward Davorka Balic (188-88) added 10 points respectively for lost side. Aragon moved-up to eleventh place in Group A, which they share with RC Celta. ADBA lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 12 games lost. Aragon will face higher ranked Badajoz BF (#10) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ADBA will play against Maquinaria Ensino (#7) in Lugo and hope to win that game.
