Regular Season Round 17: Oostende - Kangoeroes 90-68

Scooore League top team - Oostende (12-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Kangoeroes (3-10) 90-68. Kangoeroes were ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 50-24 second half run of Oostende. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Kangoeroes' players. Oostende brought some defensive toughness making 10 blocks. Bosnian Nedim Buza (205-95) nailed 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Serbian guard Dusan Djordjevic (193-83, agency: Beo Basket) accounted for 14 points and 4 assists. American guard Vernon Taylor (192-87, college: Troy) came up with 24 points and the other American import forward Chris Eversley (201-91, college: Cal Poly - SLO, agency: N.E.T.) added 16 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Kangoeroes in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Oostende have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 12-1 record. Kangoeroes lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with ten games lost. Oostende will play against VOO Verviers-Pepinster (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kangoeroes will play against Basic-Fit Brussels and hope to get back on the winning track.
