Regular Season Round 16: Rouen - Cholet 80-90

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixteenth ranked Cholet Basket and 17th ranked SPO Rouen had identical 4-11 record. But SPO Rouen was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Cholet 90-80. The game was mostly controlled by Cholet Basket. SPO Rouen was better in third quarter 25-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by American forward Murphy Holloway (201-90, college: Mississippi) who scored that evening 18 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import swingman J.P. Prince (203-87, college: Tennessee) supported him with 19 points and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) by Guerschon Yabusele (201-95, agency: Comsport) did not help to save the game for SPO Rouen. Naturalized Ivorian point guard Mouloukou Souleyman Diabate (181-87, agency: Beo Basket) added 16 points, 8 assists and 4 steals for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Cholet Basket (5-11) moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Paris-Levallois. SPO Rouen lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 12 games lost. Cholet Basket will play against league's leader Le Mans on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. SPO Rouen will play against Olympique Antibes (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
