Regular Season Round 14: Tur Bielsk Pdl. - Start Lublin II 72-86

Everything could happen in Bielsk Podlaski at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Start Lublin II and 11th ranked Tur Bielsk Pdl. had identical 4-9 record. But Tur Bielsk Pdl. was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Lublin 86-72 on Saturday night. Start Lublin II forced 19 Tur Bielsk Pdl. turnovers. Tur Bielsk Pdl. was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Alan Czujkowski (198-90, agency: Promotex) who scored 24 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). Adam Mysliwiec (200-90) chipped in 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Start Lublin II players scored in double figures. Forward Lukasz Kuczynski (194-85) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists and Arkadiusz Zabielski (197-84) added 18 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Start Lublin II (5-9) moved-up to ninth place in Group B. Tur Bielsk Pdl. lost third consecutive game. Tur Bielsk Pdl. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. Start Lublin II's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Lublin AZS UMCS.
