Stal Ostrow Wlkp. (#10) forced the game against AZS Polfarmex (#7) into an overtime, but lost by six points 68-74 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Stal Ostrow Wlkp.. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 19-15. But Stal Ostrow Wlkp. won second period 17-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Stal Ostrow Wlkp. used huge pressure winning it 17-12 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 10-16. They outrebounded Stal Ostrow Wlkp. 39-22 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American point guard Adonte Parker (186-89, college: Dayton) who scored 27 points and 5 assists. Canadian center Michael Fraser (203-84, college: Oklah.Baptist) chipped in 9 points and 12 rebounds. AZS Polfarmex's coach Jaroslaw Krysiewicz used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Curtis Millage (188-81, college: Arizona St.) who recorded 12 points and 5 rebounds and Bulgarian Hristo Nikolov (200-85, agency: 011 Sports) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively. AZS Polfarmex maintains seventh place with 9-7 record. Newly promoted Stal Ostrow Wlkp. keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Wilki Morskie. AZS Polfarmex will meet MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (#9) on the road in the next round. Stal Ostrow Wlkp. will play against MKS Start and hope to secure a win.
