Regular Season Round 18: Good Angels - Samorin 110-48

The game between Top Four teams took place in Kosice. Top-ranked host Good Angels (17-0) smashed 4th ranked Samorin (8-10) 110-48. The game without a history. Good Angels led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They held Samorin to an opponent 23.3 percent shooting from the field compared to 58.8 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Samorin 46-35 including a 36-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international center Anna Jurcenkova (195-85) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and American guard Shenise Johnson (181-90, college: Miami, FL) supported her with 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Four Good Angels players scored in double figures. Even 12 points and 6 rebounds by point guard Petra Bartanusova (173-92) did not help to save the game for Samorin. Nikoleta Feketeova (186-93) added 6 points and 10 rebounds. Samorin's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Good Angels have an impressive 15-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 17-0 record. Samorin at the other side keeps the fourth place with ten games lost. Good Angels will play against league's second-placed MBK Ruzomberok on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Samorin will play against Banska Bystrica and hopes to get back on the winning track.
