No shocking result in a game when third ranked Telge (13-4) defeated at home 5th ranked Mark Basket (10-6) 80-65 on Saturday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Telge's pressure prevailed and they won that period 25-14 extending their advantage to 15 points. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Taneisha Harrison (182-89, college: Pittsburgh) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 rebounds and forward Ellen Astrom (170-96) who added 12 points and 10 assists during the contest. Five Telge players scored in double figures. At the losing side Spanish forward Grace Alonso de Armino (178-92, college: Freed-Hardeman) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and forward Elin Ljunggren (184-96) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Telge have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 13-4 record having just one point less than leader Lulea Basket. Loser Mark Basket keeps the fifth place with six games lost. Telge will meet Alvik Basket (#6) in the next round. Mark Basket will have a break next round.
