Regular Season Round 16: Limoges - Gravelines 79-63

There was a change at the ProA leadership position after last games. Round 16 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Gravelines-Dunkerque (12-4). They were defeated by eleventh ranked Limoges CSP Elite (8-8) 79-63 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Gravelines-Dunkerque. The game was mostly controlled by Limoges CSP Elite. Gravelines-Dunkerque managed to win fourth quarter 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Limoges CSP Elite looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of German point guard Heiko Schaffartzik (183-84) who helped to win the game recording 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Will Daniels (202-86, college: Rhode Island) who added 14 points during the contest. Five Limoges CSP Elite players scored in double figures. Limoges CSP Elite's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American point guard Tyrone Brazelton (183-86, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Higher Vision Sports) responded with 17 points and his fellow American import center Graham Brown (206-84, college: Michigan) scored 7 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Defending champion moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Pau-Lacq-Orthez and Antibes. Gravelines-Dunkerque at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Le Mans who have the same record. Gravelines-Dunkerque will play next round against strong ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Limoges CSP Elite will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Monaco on the road.
