Regular Season Round 11: SIG - Roche 74-60

The game between third ranked Roche (8-3) and fourth ranked SIG (7-3) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Roche was defeated by SIG in llkirch-Graff. 74-60. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Roche. SIG forced 19 Roche turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Aline Fischbach (178-89) who scored 21 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Center Celine Schmitt-Sender (185-80) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). SIG's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. DR Congolese center Bernadette Ngoyisa (195-82) produced 8 points and 14 rebounds and naturalized Senegalese forward Mariame Dia (185-78) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. SIG have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 7-3 record. Roche at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. SIG are looking forward to face Limoges (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Roche will play against the league's leader Tarbes (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
