Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Energa Torun (6-8) smashed at home bottom-ranked MKK Siedlce (2-12) 95-68 on Saturday. The game without a history. Energa Torun led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Energa Torun outrebounded MKK Siedlce 38-24 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Matee Ajavon (170-86, college: Rutgers, agency: LBM Management) who scored 18 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. The former international forward Emilia Tlumak (184-82) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Energa Torun's coach Anatoly Buyalskiy felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ukrainian swingman Anna Olkhovyk (187-87) produced 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Katarzyna Trzeciak (173-92, agency: Promotex) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Energa Torun and four MKK Siedlce players scored in double figures. Energa Torun moved-up to seventh place. MKK Siedlce lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Energa Torun will meet Widzew (#8) in the next round. MKK Siedlce will play against AZS UMCS (#6) and hope to secure a win.
