Regular Season Round 17: Biofarm PZN - Slask 2 Wroclaw 84-73

Everything could happen in Poznan at the game between two tied teams. Both thirteenth ranked Biofarm PZN and 14th ranked Slask 2 Wroclaw had identical 4-12 record. This time Biofarm PZN used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Wroclaw 84-73 on Sunday night. Biofarm PZN forced 20 Slask 2 Wroclaw turnovers. Slask 2 Wroclaw was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was point guard Piotr Wieloch (182-94) who scored 15 points and 6 assists. Guard Damian Szymczak (186-95) chipped in 21 points. Power forward Przemyslaw Hajnsz (206-82, agency: Promotex) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and point guard Jakub Musial (184-98) added 16 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Biofarm PZN maintains thirteenth place with 5-12 record. Slask 2 Wroclaw lost their fifth game in a row. Slask 2 Wroclaw at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. Biofarm PZN will face league's leader Krosno on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Slask 2 Wroclaw will play against Legia W-wa (#3) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
