Regular Season Round 16: Akropol - Mark Basket 73-84

Bottom-ranked Akropol (0-17) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 84-73 loss to fifth ranked Mark Basket (10-6) in Spanga on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 46-33 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Mark Basket forced 26 Akropol turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Elin Ljunggren (184-96) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 8 rebounds and Spanish forward Grace Alonso de Armino (178-92, college: Freed-Hardeman) who added 14 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Serbian guard Jovana Ciric (173-83) responded with 17 points and Vici Fagan Buckau (180-90) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four Akropol players scored in double figures. Mark Basket maintains fifth position with 10-6 record. Loser Akropol still closes the standings. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
