Date: January 10, 2016
The game between fifth ranked Jefes (12-13) and 10th ranked Panteras (6-17) in Lagunera on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Jefes beat guests from Aguascalientes 81-69. The game was mostly controlled by Jefes. Panteras was better in fourth quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Jalen Cannon (198-93, college: St.Francis, NY) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). American-Puerto Rican point guard Wilfredo Pagan (184-76) contributed with 11 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Jefes players scored in double figures. International point guard Adrian Jesus Villalobos (183) answered with 15 points and Senegalese center Babacar Camara (211-81, college: CS Fullerton) added 16 points in the effort for Panteras. Jefes maintains fifth place with 12-13 record. Panteras lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 17 games lost. Jefes will face again Panteras (#10) in Aguascalientes in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
