Regular Season Round 15: CAI Zaragoza - Dominion BB 69-71

A very close game took place in Zaragoza between Dominion BB and CAI Zaragoza. Eighth ranked Dominion BB (7-8) got a very close victory on the road over 13th ranked CAI Zaragoza (5-10). Dominion BB managed to escape with a 2-point win 71-69 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of CAI Zaragoza. CAI Zaragoza was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Clevin Hannah (179-87, college: Wichita St.) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 6 assists. The former international forward Alex Mumbru (202-79, agency: Beo Basket) accounted for 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Forward Joan Sastre Morro (201-91) came up with 19 points and Serbian power forward Stevan Jelovac (208-89, agency: Beo Basket) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for CAI Zaragoza in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Dominion BB moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser CAI Zaragoza dropped to the fourteenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Iberostar Tener. and Sevilla. Dominion BB will meet La ICL Manresa (#10) on the road in the next round. CAI Zaragoza will play against the league's leader Valencia Basket (#1) and hope to secure a win.
