Bottom-ranked Azkoitia (0-15) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 15th consecutive match to fourth ranked Mann Filter (10-5) 79-68 on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-68. The best player for the winners was Italian-Paraguayan swingman Paola Ferrari (178-85, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Bulgarian Jaklin Zlatanova (190-88) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Mann Filter players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Russian power forward Mariya Davydova (190-93, college: FIU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds and Serbian swingman Marina Markovic (185-91) added 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Azkoitia's coach Joseba Guesalaga tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Mann Filter moved-up to third place, which they share with Girona. Azkoitia lost their fifteenth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with 15 games lost. Mann Filter will meet at home Gran Canaria (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Azkoitia will play against the league's leader Perfumerias Avenida in Salamanca and hopes to get finally their first victory.
