Regular Season Round 14: Fubon Braves - Taiwan Beer 82-78

Very important is a loss of second ranked Taiwan Beer (11-6) against fifth ranked Fubon Braves (7-10) on Sunday night. Taiwan Beer was defeated by Fubon Braves in a tough game 78-82. Fubon Braves took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Taiwan Beer won fourth quarter 28-24. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fubon Braves shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. American center Earl Barron (211-81, college: Memphis) had a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Sheng-Yao Liu (190-83) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Central African-American center Patrick O'Bryant (213-86, college: Bradley) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds and international forward Cheng Liu (192-90) scored 18 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Four Taiwan Beer players scored in double figures. Taiwan Beer's coach Chia-Hua Yan let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Newly promoted Fubon Braves maintains fifth position with 7-10 record. Taiwan Beer at the other side keeps the second place with six games lost. Fubon Braves will play against Bank of Taiwan (#6) in the next round. Taiwan Beer will play against Yulon Luxgen (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
