Date: January 10, 2016
The game in Nanterre supposed to be also worth to mention about. 5th ranked Strasbourg IG (10-6) played at the court of eighth ranked JSF Nanterre (10-6). JSF Nanterre smashed Strasbourg IG 95-63. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Strasbourg IG. The game without a history. JSF Nanterre led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American Mykal Riley (198-85, college: Alabama) who scored that evening 25 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and international center Mouhammadou Jaiteh (208-94) supported him with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Four JSF Nanterre players scored in double figures. Even 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by the former international guard Paul Lacombe (195-90, agency: Beo Basket) did not help to save the game for Strasbourg IG. Center Romain Duport (215-86) added 8 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. JSF Nanterre moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Strasbourg and Chalon. JSF Nanterre will play against Chalon/Saor (#6) on the road in the next round. Strasbourg IG will play against JDA Dijon and hopes to get back on the winning track.
