Regular Season Round 14: AZS AWF M. II - Wisla Krakow 65-78

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Katowice where 10th ranked AZS AWF M. II (3-11) was defeated by eleventh ranked Wisla Krakow (3-11) 78-65 on Sunday. Wisla Krakow forced 19 AZS AWF M. II turnovers. The best player for the winners was power forward Kamil Kamecki (200-87) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Mateusz Piotrowski (198-88) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Four Wisla Krakow players scored in double figures. Power forward Mateusz Migala (202-94) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and guard Lukasz Szczypka (185-80) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Wisla Krakow moved-up to tenth place in Group C, which they share with defeated AZS AWF M. II. AZS AWF M. II lost fifth consecutive game. Wisla Krakow's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Krakow AZS AGH Alstom.
