Regular Season Round 13: Albacete - Alcazar 60-75

Top ranked Albacete (8-2) recorded its second loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Alcazar (7-3) 75-60. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Albacete. The game was mostly controlled by Alcazar. Albacete was better in second period 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Albacete was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Ignacio Diaz (200-87) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Lamonte Thomas (187-90, college: J.and Wales, RI) contributed with 14 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Alcazar players scored in double figures. Alcazar's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Massine Fall answered with 16 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Garrett Nevels (188, college: Hawaii) added 19 points in the effort for Albacete. Alcazar have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place in Group B, which they share with Tenerife Naut. and Azuqueca. Albacete at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. They share it with Quintanar. Alcazar will play against Tenerife Naut. (#3) in Santa Cruz in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Albacete will play on the road against Estudiantes B in Madrid and hopes to get back on the winning track.
