Regular Season Round 29: DongGuan L. - North Control B. 112-96

Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked North Control (10-19) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked DongGuan Leopards (15-14) 112-96 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by DongGuan Leopards. North Control managed to win second period 34-28. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded North Control 53-37 including 19 on the offensive glass. DongGuan Leopards looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by North Control's players. The best player for the winners was American Dominic McGuire (206-85, college: Fresno St., agency: Priority Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 19 rebounds and 8 assists. His fellow American import point guard Bobby Brown (188-84, college: CS Fullerton) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Dorell Wright (206-85) produced a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and swingman Xining He (193-97) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five DongGuan Leopards and four North Control players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. DongGuan Leopards maintains ninth place with 15-14 record. North Control lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixteenth position with 19 games lost. DongGuan Leopards will meet TianJin Steel (#19) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. North Control will play against Foshan and hope to secure a win.
