Regular Season Round 3: Louaize - Homenetmen 70-74

Homenetmen (3-0) added another victory to their record on Monday. This time they beat Louaize (0-3) 74-70. Louaize was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Homenetmen made 9 blocks. American players dominated the game. It was a quality performance for forward Dewayne Jackson (203-90, college: Morgan St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Justin Tubbs (190-87, college: E.Tenn.St.) accounted for 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Homenetmen players scored in double figures. Guard Orien Greene (193-82, college: La-Lafayette) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and forward Alex Okafor (202-87, college: Princeton) added 20 points and 16 rebounds respectively for Louaize in the defeat. Homenetmen's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Beirut to the arena Al Riyadi.
