The game in Valga was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked TLU/Kalev (7-5) played at the court of 6th ranked Valga (5-8). TLU/Kalev managed to secure a 8-point victory 108-100 on Tuesday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 28-22. But Valga won second period 25-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. TLU/Kalev dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Valga's 30 and made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. TLU/Kalev looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Lithuanian center Dominykas Milka (203-92, college: St.Rose, NY) stepped up and scored 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) for the winners and American power forward Zack Atkinson (206-86, college: Cal-Irvine) chipped in 25 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side Latvian center Jurijs Aleksejevs (202-85) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international point guard Kristo Saage (187-85) scored 18 points and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. TLU/Kalev maintains fourth place with 7-5 record. Valga lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with TTU. TLU/Kalev will meet league's leader TU/Rock in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Valga will play against TTU (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
